Playing Games

With Cognotes, reviewing your knowledge is as fun and easy as playing a game. Once what you want to memorize is in a question and answer format you can play Matching, Hangman, Fill in the blank, Flash Cards, Memory, Tests, and a Game Show to review.

Choosing Games: After you have clicked the knowledge node you wish to play with and clicked the Game tab, to select which game you wish to play, simply click the Select Game button from the tool bar and select the game you wish to review with.

High Scores: Your current and highest score (for the game and currently selected knowledge node) are reflected in the score panel at the top of each game.

You score, if it is the highest score, will be recorded at the end of each game or when the Save Score button is selected. High scores can be removed by clicking the "Clear Hight Score" button at the left of the panel.

Answer Panel: Many Games in Cognotes utilize an Answer Panel:

The answer panel is a flexible tool that lets you record your answers to your questions in the most convenient way possible.

The Fill Letters option lets you guess the answers to your questions one letter at a time such as might be done in hangman.

The Fill words option requires you to fill in every letter of every answer but gives you a blank for each letter of the answer. This allows the computer to determine if your answers are correct.

If you do not wish to have to get your answers exactly correct every time, you can simply "Self Judge" and determine yourself if your answers are correct.
